Consumer Limited Warranty

Warranty Terms
- GlobalGIS LLC provides a limited warranty for Garmin devices for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. During this warranty period, GlobalGIS LLC, at its sole discretion, will repair or replace any device that proves defective under normal use. Such repair or replacement shall be provided free of charge to the customer, provided that the customer delivers or ships the Garmin device to GlobalGIS LLC’s service center at their own expense.
- Upon receiving the device at the service center, GlobalGIS LLC will notify the customer within five (5) business days whether the submitted device is eligible for repair or replacement.
- If the defective model has been discontinued or is otherwise unavailable in the region, it may be replaced with an equivalent model.
- The maximum duration for warranty repair or replacement shall not exceed forty (40) business days.
- This warranty does not cover:
(a) Cosmetic damage, such as scratches, dents, or casing damage;
(b) Consumable parts subject to wear and tear, including but not limited to batteries, power cables, chargers, straps, handles, or mounts;
(c) Damage caused by accident, impact, exposure to water, flooding, fire, or other acts of nature or external causes;
(d) Damage resulting from service performed by anyone not authorized by Garmin;
(e) Malfunctions caused by the use of unauthorized parts or software not supplied or approved by Garmin;
(f) Failures due to connection with unauthorized power sources and/or cables;
(g) Garmin reserves the right to deny warranty service for products or services purchased or used in violation of applicable laws in any jurisdiction. - Garmin navigation products are intended solely for use as travel aids and are not designed for precise measurement of direction, distance, surface area, or other metrics. Garmin makes no warranty regarding the accuracy or completeness of map data, and shall not be held liable for any damages arising from the presence or absence of such data.
- To obtain warranty service, the customer must present proof of purchase, such as a sales receipt (cash register slip) and/or invoice.
- GlobalGIS LLC reserves the right to deny or charge an additional service fee for warranty support for Garmin devices sold by unauthorized resellers not approved by GlobalGIS LLC.
- GlobalGIS LLC reserves the right to deny or charge an additional service fee for warranty service on devices purchased from other Garmin representatives or third-party vendors.
- Limitation of Liability Garmin and GlobalGIS LLC shall under no circumstances be held liable for any damages not arising from a breach of this warranty document, nor for any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit or loss of opportunity, whether resulting from the use, misuse, or inability to use the product, or from defects in the product.
This limitation shall not apply in the following cases:
(i) death or personal injury;
(ii) fraud;
(iii) fraudulent misrepresentation;
(iv) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. - Data Loss Disclaimer Garmin does not warrant, represent, or guarantee that any device can be repaired or replaced without risk of loss to the data and/or information stored on the Garmin product. Customers are advised to back up all data prior to submitting the device for service.
- Customer Data & Privacy Garmin shall retain and process any customer data obtained in the course of the warranty service in accordance with its Privacy Statement, and shall use such information solely for the purposes necessary to provide warranty support.
